Midstream Lighting , a world leader in aviation, maritime and sports LED lighting technology, announces the opening of its U.S. headquarters in Dayton, Ohio – and the appointment of two senior executives – in a move that will further strengthen the company’s North America operations.
Following a decade of product innovation and service delivery for customers across the globe, Midstream has grown to become one of the most disruptive forces in the lighting sector.
The company is a Fast Track 100 company, a two-time recipient of the UK’s Queen’s Awards – for Innovation and for International Trade, has been listed by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s fastest growing companies, and counts some of the world’s biggest sporting, marine and aviation brands among its global client list.
The opening of its U.S. headquarters – in what is one of the world’s largest lighting markets – marks an important milestone for both the company and its expanding North America customer base.
“From the very first, we set out to be different – in both our customer engagements and our LED lighting solutions,” says Paolo Corno, Technical Director & Co-Founder. “Our best-in-class components, proprietary light distribution technology and smart manufacturing techniques gives the market the kind of super-efficient, low maintenance, simple to install lighting solutions it needs today. Never has it been more important to reduce energy consumption whilst improving the quality and the level of professional lighting.
“Ultimately though, it’s the customer outcomes our lighting provides that really matters – like increasing efficiency in ports, ensuring compliance with airport regulations, or delivering a great player and fan experience on the ballfield. The opening of our Ohio HQ, and our new appointments, give us the scale and opportunity to deliver these outcomes to more customers across North America.”
Joining the team as President-US is industry veteran, James McCarty. An accomplished sports lighting leader and member of the IES Sports Lighting Committee, James will spearhead Midstream’s expansion in North America.
James will be supported by new VP Marketing, Gail McNulty. Bringing a wealth of business, marketing and sports lighting experience to the team, Gail will be instrumental in building success across the region.
“Gail and I are thrilled to be part of Midstream’s global business. Midstream’s best-in-class technology, proven ability to support customers in over 60 countries and its customer-first approach make it exactly the right fit to support America’s growing maritime, horticultural, aviation and sports markets. And in Dayton, Ohio, we’re in exactly the right place to drive rapid growth across North America.”
Over the next few months, Midstream will continue to strengthen its North America operations with key appointments and new partnerships with key U.S. governing bodies and sports associations.
